Trivest Announces Promotions to the Partnership

MIAMI — Trivest Partners (“Trivest” or the “Firm”) is pleased to announce the following promotions — a recognition of accomplishment that fully exemplifies the depth of talent and experience on the internally-grown Trivest team.

Brian Connell has been elevated to Partner.

Brian joined Trivest in 2013. He is responsible for originating investment opportunities, completing acquisitions and working with existing portfolio companies primarily in Trivest’s control funds. He currently serves or has served on the Board of several Trivest portfolio companies including Columbus Recycling, Pelican Water Systems, IDMWORKS, OnePath Systems and Novatech, among others. Prior to joining Trivest, he was an executive at Pensam Capital and The Federated Companies where he completed numerous private equity transactions. Brian also previously worked at Lehman Brothers in investment banking and at General Electric as a member of the Corporate Staff on strategic initiatives across its financial services, plastics, medical systems, energy and aerospace business units. He received his B.S. in Computer Science and Finance from Boston College and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Todd Jerles has been elevated to Partner, Operations from Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer.

Todd joined Trivest in 2008 and leads all operational aspects of the Firm including overall strategy, investor relations, human resources, finance/accounting and marketing. In addition, he continues to have a role in deal execution and portfolio company management. Todd currently serves or has served on the Board of Directors of AM Conservation, Pelican Water Systems, National Carwash Solutions, NuEnergen and Precision Machining Group, among others. Prior to joining Trivest, he was a member of the healthcare investment banking groups of Lehman Brothers and LEERINK Partners in New York. He received his B.A. in Economics, Phi Beta Kappa, from Indiana University and M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Amir Mirheydar has been elevated to Partner.

Amir joined Trivest in 2014 and is focused on the Firm’s growth/non-control funds. Prior to Trivest, Amir was with Sun Capital Partners where he spent nearly five years screening and executing middle market transactions across a wide range of industries as well as handling portfolio company responsibilities. Amir currently serves or has served on the Board of Directors of Big Truck Rental, Creative Multicare, EPIKA Fleet Services, Family First Homecare, Jon-Don, TCDI and Turnpoint Services, among others.   Amir began his career at Brown Gibbons Lang & Co., where he focused on mergers & acquisitions, refinancings and restructuring transactions. Amir received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University and is a CFA charterholder.

Trace Smith has been promoted to Senior Associate.

Trace joined Trivest in 2020. He is responsible for the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets and monitoring of existing portfolio companies primarily within the Firm’s control funds. Prior to joining Trivest, he was an Investment Banking Analyst at Houlihan Lokey. Previously, Trace worked at Incentrum Group, a Morgan Stanley spinout focused on strategic M&A advisory for corporate clients. Before launching his finance career, Trace competed as a ski racer at the Olympic and World Cup levels. He received his B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Andrea Hinestroza has been promoted to Associate.

Andrea joined Trivest in 2021. She is responsible for the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets and monitoring of existing portfolio companies primarily within Trivest’s non-control funds. Prior to joining Trivest, Andrea was an Investment Banking Analyst at RBC Capital Markets in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. She received her B.S. in Finance from Florida International University.
