Brandon Berish

Brandon joined Trivest in 2022. He is responsible for the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets and monitoring of existing portfolio companies within the Firm’s buyout funds. Prior to joining Trivest, Brandon was an Analyst at Field Holdings, a Family Office, where he was responsible for originating, evaluating, and executing lower middle-market acquisitions as well as supporting portfolio companies. Brandon previously spent two years as a Venture Capital investor based in Chicago and started his career working for his family’s Wine and Spirits business, Sovereign Brands. Brandon received his B.S. in Finance from Lake Forest College.

Chris Berton

Chris joined Trivest in 2017. At Trivest, he is responsible for business development, including the origination and evaluation of investment opportunities. Prior to joining Trivest, he spent nine years working at the private equity group H.I.G. Capital with a focus on business development and transaction sourcing for the firm’s various investment funds and strategies. While at H.I.G., he was involved with sourcing and screening middle market transactions across wide range of sectors including chemicals, healthcare, consumer products, media and business services. Chris received his B.A. in Economics from Tufts University and M.B.A. from University of Miami. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Ely Burbano

Ely joined Trivest in 2021. She supports the senior partners and the deal team. She is responsible for managing the schedules, coordinating travel arrangements and communications of key executives. Ely is pursuing a B.A. in Organizational Management from The University of Arizona. She also loves spending time with her two children and enjoys traveling.

Reid Callaway

Reid rejoined Trivest in 2020, having been with the firm from 2015-2018. He is responsible for the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets and monitoring of existing portfolio companies. Prior to rejoining Trivest, Reid worked in venture capital at Basis Set Ventures. He also previously was a private equity Associate at NGP Energy Capital and an investment banking Analyst at Lehman Brothers. Reid received his B.B.A. in Finance and B.A. in the Plan II Honors Program from the University of Texas, and he received his M.B.A. from Stanford University.

Cristy Calvo

Cristy joined Trivest in 2021 as an Associate in the Portfolio Support Group, helping to drive value creation for portfolio companies by leveraging Trivest’s Path to 3x strategies. Prior to joining Trivest, Cristy worked as an Audit & Assurance Manager at Deloitte & Touche, LLP where she managed and performed financial statement audits with over $5 billion in assets, primarily in the Real Estate and Investment Management space. She earned her B.S. and M.A. in Accounting at Florida State University and is an active Certified Public Accountant. Outside of work, she loves traveling, gardening, and spending time with family.

Rigby Coleman

Rigby joined Trivest in 2021. He is responsible for the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets and monitoring of existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Trivest, he was a Senior Associate and Comvest Credit Partners where he spent four years screening and executing middle market transactions across a broad range of industries as well as handling portfolio company responsibilities. Previously, Rigby was an Associate at Regions Business Capital. He received his B.A. in Finance from Auburn University.

Brian Connell

Brian joined Trivest in 2013. At Trivest, he is responsible for originating investment opportunities, completing acquisitions and working with existing portfolio companies. He has served on the Board of several Trivest portfolio companies including Columbus Recycling, Pelican Water Systems, OnePath Systems, Novatech, IDMWORKS. Prior to joining Trivest, he was an executive at Pensam Capital and The Federated Companies where he completed numerous private equity transactions. Brian also previously worked at Lehman Brothers in investment banking and at General Electric as a member of the Corporate Staff on strategic initiatives across its financial services, plastics, medical systems, energy and aerospace business units. When he is not working alongside founders and their families, Brian can often be found spearfishing in the Bahamas with family and friends or passing a rugby ball. He received his B.S. in Computer Science and Finance from Boston College and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Robert Crapsey

Robert joined Trivest in 2020. He is responsible for business development initiatives at the firm, including the origination and evaluation of investment opportunities. Based in Miami, Robert manages Trivest’s deal relationships in Colorado and the Gulf Coast region. Before joining Trivest, he was Relationship Manager at Wells Fargo Bank where he was involved with sourcing, structuring, and executing middle market senior debt transactions. Lori Cunningham

Lori joined Trivest in 2019 and is responsible for business development initiatives at the firm which include the sourcing, origination and evaluation of investment opportunities. Lori operates primarily in Chicago and the American Midwest, managing Trivest’s deal relationships in the region. Previously, Lori was responsible for sourcing and origination as Vice President of Pfingsten Partners; Director of Origination, Akoya Capital Partners; Principal, Richard Vander Kaay & Associates and Founder of Colwyn Capital Partners. She received her BS from the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana and her MA from The University of Chicago.

Mary Jane Dacek

Mary Jane joined Trivest in 2019. Her background includes nearly two decades of experience helping families navigate the complexities and opportunities of significant wealth. Mary Jane came from SunTrust Private Wealth, where she served as Vice President and Client Advisor in Miami. In this capacity, she delivered customized solutions and provided strategic advice to ultra-high net worth families. Prior to joining Trivest, she spent over 10 years with Citigroup and HSBC where she held various roles in the Private Wealth and Corporate divisions in both Miami and New York. She also spent several years working at entrepreneurial companies in the travel and manufacturing industries. She holds a B.S. from Nova Southeastern University and an M.B.A. in International Business from the University of Miami.

Micah Dawson

Micah joined Trivest in 2018 to lead the Portfolio Support Group. In this role, he drives value creation for Trivest’s portfolio companies using the proprietary Path to 3x system. Prior to joining Trivest, Micah held several senior operating roles at Tru-Flex, a portfolio company of HBM Holdings, where he also worked in the Strategy and Corporate Development Group. Asad Dilawari

Asad joined Trivest in 2022. He is responsible for analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets, and working with existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Trivest, Asad was an Assistant Vice President at CDIB Capital, focused on lower middle market private equity and special situations. Prior to CDIB, he was an Associate at OMERS Private Equity in New York, where he was responsible for screening and executing private equity transactions in business services, industrials, and healthcare. Asad began his career as an Analyst in the Healthcare Groups of Credit Suisse and CIT. Asad received his B.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and M.B.A., with honors, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jamie Elias

Jamie leads the firm’s non-control investment strategies through the Trivest Growth Investment Fund. He joined Trivest in 1997 and is involved in all aspects of the firm, including the origination of investment opportunities, completing acquisitions, portfolio oversight and firm management. In addition, Jamie manages transaction execution at Trivest. He is a member of Trivest’s Investment Committee and serves as a Chairman or Board Member of numerous Trivest companies including GetixHealth and Northfield Industries. Lindsey Foulkes

Lindsey joined Trivest in 2022. She is responsible for the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets and monitoring of existing portfolio companies within TGIF, Trivest’s non-control investment strategy. Prior to joining Trivest, Lindsey was an Investment Banking Analyst at Jefferies in the Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging group. She received her B.S. in Finance and Operations & Supply Chain from the University of South Carolina.

Dave Gershman

Dave joined Trivest in 2002. As the Firm’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, he provides transactional services and comprehensive legal oversight to the portfolio companies and assists in the transaction processes at Trivest. He is a member of Trivest’s Investment Committee and has served as a Chairman or Board Member of numerous Trivest companies including GAL Power Systems and Pelican Water Systems. Prior to joining Trivest, Dave was in-house M&A Counsel at Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP) and practiced law in the New York office of Morgan Lewis, where he focused on representing private equity firms. He earned his B.A., cum laude, from Union College, his J.D. from New York University School of Law and is a member of the bar in New York and Florida.

Jorge Gross Jr.

Jorge leads control fund investments. He joined Trivest in 2006 and is involved in all aspects of the firm, including the origination of investment opportunities, completing acquisitions, portfolio oversight and firm management. In addition, Jorge manages Trivest’s relationships with the lending community. He is a member of Trivest’s Investment Committee and serves as Chairman or Board Member of numerous Trivest portfolio companies including ASA Safety Supply, BCC Engineering, GAL/Total Power, GetixHealth, Innovative Foodservice Group, PCRK, Novatech and NuEnergen. Prior to joining Trivest, Jorge spent three years at Credit Suisse First Boston where he evaluated and executed long-term, value-oriented investments in publicly traded companies for private clients. He received his B.A. in Economics from Columbia University and M.B.A., with honors, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jorge was born and raised in Miami, where he currently lives with his wife and two kids, and you can usually find him on the mountain bike trails or road cycling on weekends.

Hans Grunwaldt

Hans joined Trivest in 2019 as a Vice President in its Portfolio Support group, helping to drive value creation for portfolio companies by leveraging Trivest’s Path to 3x strategies. He brings extensive finance and global operations expertise honed across multiple roles within Miami-based Restaurant Brands International, Inc., the parent company of Burger King, Tim Hortons and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. Hans received an MBA from Northwestern University and a BS/MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami.

Frank Hapak

Frank joined Trivest in 2018. He is responsible for the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets and monitoring of existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Trivest, he worked for Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers, a former portfolio company of Carousel Capital, a Charlotte-based private equity firm focused on business services, consumer services and healthcare investments. Prior to Express Oil, Frank was an Associate at Carousel Capital where he spent two years screening and executing middle market transactions across a wide range of industries in the Southeastern U.S. as well as handling portfolio company responsibilities. Prior to joining Carousel Capital, he was an Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Piper Jaffray & Co. Frank received his B.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.

Tony Hill

Tony joined Trivest in 2019. In addition to co-leading the firm’s Business Development team, Tony spearheads a number of strategic initiatives, such as its retained buy-side search program and independent sponsor initiative, among others. Prior to joining Trivest, Tony cofounded two technology companies. One of them, Dealnexus, was acquired by Intralinks and grew into the largest online deal sourcing network for mid-market M&A professionals in the world. Before launching Dealnexus, Tony was a Vice President of investment banking at Cross Keys Capital. He also previously worked at Siemens AG in Germany. Tony received his B.S. in Finance, as well as his M.B.A., from the University of Florida.

Joseph Howell

Prior to joining Trivest, Joseph worked in the executive branch of the U.S. Government where he worked in the Office of the Secretary at the Department of Commerce, and later at the White House where he focused on trade and workforce development policy. Prior to his work in the public sector, he worked as a summer analyst at Cerberus Capital Management in London. He studied European history at the University of St Andrews for one year, received his B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia, and received his M.S. in International Business at the University of South Carolina.

Greg Irons

Prior to joining Trivest, Greg was a Vice President at Geneva Glen Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on lower middle-market investments in healthcare, business services, consumer, and industrials sectors. Prior to Geneva Glen, he was an Associate at Harbert Private Equity Partners, the private equity strategy of the Harbert family office. He began his career at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey as an Analyst where he advised on M&A and capital raise transactions. Greg received his B.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.

Todd joined Trivest in 2008, and in 2022 he was promoted from Chief Operating Officer to Partner, Operations. Todd leads numerous activities including the management of Trivest’s accounting and finance departments, robust deal marketing programs, fundraising activities and annual initiatives including Trivest’s Investor and CEO Conferences. In addition, he is responsible for identifying strategic acquisition targets, evaluating investment opportunities, deal execution and portfolio company management. Todd currently serves on the Board of Directors of Precision Machining Group and NuEnergen and works closely with IDMWORKS. Prior to joining Trivest, he was a member of the healthcare investment banking groups of Lehman Brothers and LEERINK Partners in New York. Yan Levinski

Prior to joining Trivest, Yan was a Vice President at CIP Capital, a New York based private equity firm where he focused on middle-market investments in the business services sector over his 6-year tenure. Prior to CIP Capital, Yan was an Associate at Lovell Minnick Partners, a Philadelphia based private equity firm focused on financial and business services sectors. Yan began his career at Barclays as an investment banking Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group. Yan received his B.B.A. in Finance from the George Washington University, and was a former Australian professional tennis player, being ranked on the men’s ATP circuit and playing in the Australian Open Juniors.

Sonia Lopez

Sonia joined Trivest in 2023 and handles compliance and diverse legal matters. Prior to joining Trivest, Sonia was Senior Counsel and Managing Director at Hamilton Lane Advisors, L.L.C. where she oversaw legal matters relating to separately managed accounts. Prior to that, she worked at Richourt Inc., a registered investment advisor and former subsidiary of Hamilton Lane, where she was responsible for compliance and legal affairs. Sonia was previously associated with the law firm of Schulte, Roth & Zabel LLP in their Business Transactions group and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as a general corporate associate. Sonia received her B.A. in East Asian Studies from Yale University and J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Mac Lothrop

Mac joined Trivest in 2019. He is responsible for business development initiatives at the firm, including the origination and evaluation of investment opportunities. Amir is a Partner in the firm’s growth/non-control investment strategies (TGIF). Tarek Mohamed

Tarek joined Trivest in 2022. He is responsible for the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets, and monitoring of existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Trivest, he was a Private Equity Principal for Tygon Peak Capital, where he spent 3.5 years spearheading the evaluation, diligence and execution of control buyout deals in the lower middle market, as well as actively partnering with management teams of portfolio companies to drive the value creation plans. Prior to that, Tarek was on the private equity deal teams at Silver Swan Capital, Macquarie Capital, and Goldman Sachs’ Special Situations Group. He received his B.Sc. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, where he was a member of the Value Investing Program.

Stephanie Mooney

Stephanie joined Trivest in 2020 and is responsible for originating and analyzing acquisition opportunities. Based in Toronto, she manages Trivest’s deal relationships across Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Prior to Trivest, Stephanie was a Director with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) responsible for originating and managing lending relationships with privately held middle market companies while leading a team of account managers. Stephanie holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from McMaster University. She is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Toronto Chapter’s Deal Source Committee and actively participates in Opus Connect, Exponent Women, and various other networking groups. She is involved with a number of charitable organizations including Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto where she’s been a Board Member since 2019. Outside of work Stephanie enjoys spending time at the cottage, sinking birdie putts, cheering for her favourite hockey teams and has yet to meet a dog she didn’t love.

Yonatan joined Trivest in 2021. He is involved in all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction execution and portfolio company management. Prior to joining Trivest, Yonatan was an associate at Roark Capital Group where he spent two years evaluating and executing transactions across the consumer and business services sectors as well as handling portfolio company responsibilities. Before his time at Roark Capital Group, Yonatan was an investment director at CVC Credit Partners. He began his career as an investment banking analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Jefferies after receiving his B.S. and M.S. in Finance from the University of Florida.

Chris Norton

Chris joined Trivest in 2022 as an Associate in the Operations Group. Prior to joining Trivest, Chris worked as a senior associate in transaction advisory services at Dixon Hughes Goodman, where he performed due diligence work on buy-side and sell-side transactions. In addition, he spent two years as a senior audit associate at KPMG LLP. Chris received his B.S in Accounting from Florida State University and his M.S in Accounting from the University of North Florida and is an active Certified Public Accountant. Rachel Oliva

Rachel joined Trivest in 2021 and is responsible for various accounting processes including Accounts Payable/Receivable and Bookkeeping. She’s originally from Cuba, moved to the US in 2004, and graduated from Florida International University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Finance. During her free time, she likes to travel and spend time with family and her two loving dogs Mila (Golden Retriever) & Horus (Labrador).

Hannah Olmstead

Hannah joined Trivest in 2023. She is involved in all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction execution, and portfolio company management. Prior to joining Trivest, Hannah was an investment associate at Level 5 Capital Partners where she focused on evaluating and executing transactions across the consumer services sector as well as handling portfolio company responsibilities. Before her time at Level 5 Capital Partners, Hannah was an associate in the Private Credit Group at Goldman Sachs. Ryan Parker

Ryan joined Trivest in 2019 as its first-ever marketing hire. He leads the integration of systems and processes to modernize firm communications, elevate the design aesthetic, and improve overall marketing efficiency at the firm level and across our portfolio. Ryan has extensive experience leading creative production and brand development initiatives within the real estate, technology and sports industries. Prior to joining Trivest, Ryan held multiple roles in brand marketing, including Group Creative Director of CAA’s golf division, a leading sponsorship consulting agency with clients including Bose, CDW, Farmers Insurance, Zurich and the PGA Tour. He holds a BA summa cum laude in Economic Geography and an MS in Real Estate, both from the University of Florida.

Andres Policastro

Andres joined Trivest in 2020. Prior to joining Trivest, Andres was an Associate at Comvest Partners where he spent two years providing debt and equity financing solutions to middle market businesses. Arturas joined Trivest in 2017. Herby Raymond

Herby joined Trivest in 2022. Steve is a Partner in the firm’s middle market investment funds. Jared Roberts

Jared joined Trivest in 2023. He is responsible for business development initiatives at the firm, including the origination and evaluation of investment opportunities. Based in Los Angeles, Jared manages Trivest’s deal relationships in the West region. Prior to joining Trivest, he was at CriticalPoint Partners, a boutique investment bank and buy-side M&A advisory firm located in Manhattan Beach, CA where he was responsible for origination of platform and add-on investments for select private equity clients. Prior to CriticalPoint, he was with Caruso, a real estate development firm based in Los Angeles where he supported the acquisition and development efforts. Jonathan joined Trivest in 2019. Tatyana joined Trivest in 2018 and is responsible for the finance, accounting, and tax reporting of Trivest’s various funds. Prior to joining Trivest, she worked as an assistant manager at HIG Capital, a $44B global private equity investment firm based in Miami, FL. Tatyana has over 15 years of experience serving private equity funds, hedge funds, broker dealers and family offices. Originally from Russia, Tatyana graduated from Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Economics with honors.

Tatyana lives in Sunny Isles Beach with her husband and two children. She loves traveling, cooking and yoga on the beach.

Mark joined Trivest’s Portfolio Support Group in 2021. In his role, Mark helps drive value across the Trivest portfolio by leading company whiteboarding exercises with other PSG and Deal team members; he serves as an advisor to portfolio companies to support and in most cases execute initiatives, delivering on their committed value; Mark engages in special portfolio company projects in areas like pricing, inventory reduction, supplier negotiation, and logistics optimization. Additionally, he authors operational excellence guides and playbooks that can be leveraged across the portfolio. Mark received his B.S. in Marketing and Business Management from Stockton University.

Tim Templeton

Tim advises on and supports the firm’s business development efforts throughout the Southeast. Prior to working with Trivest, he led business development at one of the fastest-growing construction companies in the Southeast for 18 years. Tim started his career in the public sector as a campaign manager for numerous statewide cabinet races, as well as an advisor to two Florida cabinet members on policy issues for state agencies overseen by the Governor and Cabinet. He received his B.S. from the University of Florida and lives in Tallahassee, FL, with his wife, two sons and daughter. Tim is an avid rucker, participating in endurance events lasting six to 24 hours, and has served on the Board for the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches since 2006.

Todd Recknagel

Todd Recknagel served as CEO or Operating Partner in a variety of companies including: CEO of the largest franchisor in the handyman category, Mr. Handyman International; CEO of the largest energy efficiency products supplier in the country, AM Conservation Group; Board Member & Partner in Take 5 Oil Change; and Board Member & Operating Partner and in the largest multi-unit Franchisee group of the leading brand in the massage category, Massage Envy, with over 90 units. He is also Board Member & Operating Partner in Quatrro Business Support Services and Office Pride franchising with over 145 units. Todd received his MBA in finance at the Eli Broad School at MSU. He has partnered or invested in over 75 transactions with over $350 million in gains for private equity investors.

Iain Whyte

Iain joined Trivest in 2014 when he was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Pelican Water Systems. During his successful tenure with Pelican, he led the growth of the Company and the successful sale of the business to Pentair PLC in 2019 (Buyouts Small Market Deal of the Year). Iain is a respected executive specializing in direct-to-consumer e-commerce businesses, high end appliance marketing and business transformation. He has served on the Board of Directors of Wise Foods and is currently a board member of another Trivest portfolio company. Iain’s full-time role is with Trivest platform business Innovative Foodservice Group where he is Chief Executive Officer, where he is building a successful dealership specializing in the design and supply of foodservice equipment and small wares to the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Trivest Iain worked for the Aga Foodservice Group a UK PLC listed company working across Europe, Asia and North America on M&A activity and business integration. Iain enjoys travel with his family and is an eager skier in the winter months. Iain received his BA Honors (First Class) in Business Management from Abertay University, Dundee, Scotland.

Tim Clark

Tim has over 25 years of experience in M&A transaction origination/execution/financing and principal investing across a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Hall Capital, Tim was Managing Director for over nine years at Gridiron Capital, a middle-market private equity firm. Throughout his career in investment banking with Morgan Stanley, Bankers Trust and UBS in New York and London, Tim executed advisory and financing transactions totaling over $15 billion. At Trivest, he serves as an active board member of ASB Sports.

Tim played professional baseball in the Cincinnati Reds organization. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.A. in economics and played varsity football and baseball. He received his M.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
