Trivest Announces Big Truck Rental, a New TGIF Platform Investment

MIAMI, FL – (June 1, 2018) Trivest Partners (“Trivest”) announces it has made an investment in Big Truck Rental, LLC (“BTR” or “the Company”). The BTR transaction represents the 4th platform company investment in the Trivest Growth Investment Fund (“TGIF”), a $225 million fund dedicated to making growth and non-control investments in founder/family-owned businesses.

BTR is the largest provider of rental garbage trucks serving public, private and municipality waste haulers throughout the United States and Canada.  Based in Tampa, Florida, this founder-owned company oversees a fleet of 300+ refuse trucks with presence at over 50 rental locations across North America.

BTR has enjoyed strong organic growth in recent years as haulers increasingly incorporate rental options as a sensible strategy for their overall fleet management needs.

Since its founding in 2002, BTR has maintained a stellar reputation in the waste collection industry as a trusted provider of short and long-term rental garbage trucks.  The Company offers a comprehensive suite of front loader, rear loader, side loader, roll off and vacuum truck rentals to address waste haulers’ new route, downtime, long term rental and rent to own fleet management needs.

Trivest will work alongside BTR’s superior senior management team to pursue multiple identified growth initiatives in the coming years while also actively pursuing strategic add-on acquisitions in the waste industry and ancillary markets.
