Troy D. Templeton
Managing Partner

Mr. Templeton joined Trivest in 1989. He plays a key leadership role in Trivest's buyout activities, investment sourcing, resource allocation, portfolio oversight and firm administration. For over a decade, he has led the origination, structuring and financing of more than 22 acquisitions. He also led the successful disposition of seven of Trivest's platform investments. Mr. Templeton currently serves as Chairman of Directed Electronics, Inc., Corvest Promotional Products, Inc., Schoor DePalma and Box-Board. In addition, he is currently serving or has been an officer and on the board of directors of over a dozen portfolio companies. Prior to joining Trivest, he spent six years serving in various capacities with Southeast Bank, N.A. in Miami. He received his B.B.A., magna cum laude, and M.B.A. from Stetson University.



Peter "Chip" Vandenberg, Jr
Partner

Mr. Vandenberg joined Trivest in 1987 and has been responsible for numerous acquisitions, refinancings, restructurings, and dispositions. His responsibilities include the origination of investment opportunities and the oversight of portfolio companies. He currently serves as a Director of Atlantis Plastics, Inc., Lady of America Franchise Corp., and Schoor DePalma, Inc.  He has also served as a senior management team member operating a diverse group of Trivest portfolio companies in a variety of industries, including consumer products, plastics/packaging and transportation. Prior to joining Trivest, Mr. Vandenberg spent ten years with KPMG Peat Marwick, the last four years as a Senior Manager in Miami. He is a certified public accountant and received his B.S. in accounting from William Paterson University.



Jamie E. Elias
Partner

Mr. Elias joined Trivest in 1997. His responsibilities include the origination, structuring and closing of investment opportunities, and the oversight of portfolio companies. Mr. Elias has gained private equity experience in several industries including consumer products, furniture and electronics. He currently serves on the boards of Directed Electronics, Inc. and Schoor DePalma. Prior to joining Trivest, Mr. Elias served as a senior accountant in the Audit and Business Advisory Group of Price Waterhouse L.L.P., Miami. He received his B.S., magna cum laude, from Boston College and his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.



Earl W. Powell
Founding Partner and Chairman Emeritus

Mr. Powell, one of Trivest's founders in 1981, has been instrumental in developing Trivest's acquisition and financing capabilities. He possesses extensive experience in the management of portfolio companies and serves on the boards of directors of several Trivest investments. Prior to founding Trivest, he was a partner with KPMG for fourteen years, serving as Managing Partner of the Miami office and partner-in-charge of Executive Education in New York. He attended the University of Florida and received his B.B.A. from the University of Miami. He is a Trustee of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Trustee of the University of Florida Board of Trustees, and Chairman of the Board of the University of Florida Investment Company.



David Gershman
Principal & General Counsel

Mr. Gershman joined Trivest in 2002. His responsibilities include providing transactional services and comprehensive legal oversight to the portfolio companies and assisting in the corporate acquisition process with the deal teams. Prior to joining Trivest, he was partner-elect at Akerman Senterfitt in the mergers & acquisitions, private equity and securities law areas. Mr. Gershman previously was in-house M&A Counsel at Automatic Data Processing, Inc. and practiced law in the New York office of Morgan Lewis, where he focused on representing private equity firms. He earned his B.A., cum laude, from Union College, his J.D. from New York University School of Law, and is a member of the bar in New York and Florida.



Richard H. Moran
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Moran serves as chief financial officer and is responsible for the financial, tax and reporting requirements of Trivest and its private limited partnerships. Prior to joining Trivest, Mr. Moran worked 13 years in public accounting, most recently as Manager of Accounting and Tax Services for a large local firm in Boca Raton. After leaving public accounting in 2003, he served as CFO for a large privately held construction contractor, its subsidiaries and affiliates. A certified public accountant, he received his B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Louisiana.



Forest T. Wester
Principal

Mr. Wester joined Trivest in 2005. His responsibilities include the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets and monitoring of existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Trivest, Mr. Wester was an Associate in Lehman Brothers' Venture Capital Group. In this capacity, he was responsible for evaluating and executing late-stage venture investments on behalf of Lehman's $350 million venture capital fund. His previous experience also includes helping to found Lehman's early-stage venture capital group, serving as the analyst to the Chairman and CEO of Lehman Brothers and analyzing investment opportunities for Lehman's Merchant Banking Group. He received his A.B. from Dartmouth College and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.



Russ Wilson
Principal

Mr. Wilson joined Trivest in 2006. His responsibilities include the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets and monitoring of existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Trivest, Mr. Wilson was an Associate at PNC Equity Management. In this capacity, he was responsible for sourcing, screening and executing middle-market control buyouts on behalf of PNC's $300 million private equity fund. His previous experience also includes employment with the investment banking division of Raymond James, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and private equity placements. In aggregate, Mr. Wilson has more than seven years of private equity and investment banking experience. He received his B.A. in Business Management and Economics, with honors, from Eckerd College.



Jorge A. Gross, Jr.
Vice President

Mr. Gross' responsibilities include the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets and monitoring of existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Trivest, Mr. Gross was an Associate at Credit Suisse First Boston. In this capacity, he was responsible for evaluating and executing long-term, value-oriented investments in publicly traded companies for private clients. His previous experience also includes employment with Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns. He received his B.A. in Economics from Columbia University and M.B.A., with honors, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.



Scott R. Tucker
Associate

Mr. Tucker's responsibilities include the analysis of investment opportunities, identification of strategic acquisition targets and monitoring of existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Trivest, Mr. Tucker was a Senior Consulting Analyst with The PrivateEdge Group, a division of State Street Corporation. In this role, Mr. Tucker was responsible for monitoring the private equity investments of several large pension funds. He also conducted due diligence on new private equity funds that were in the fundraising stage. Mr. Tucker also spent several years as an Analyst at Cambridge Associates. He received his B.S., with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies, from Babson College.
